Brown hair into red hair?

I've got light brown hair, not to light, sort of chest nut, do you think i'd have to bleach it to get it red?

It depends on what color red. Do you want a natural red or like the real color red like an apple? If you want a light natural red you'll have to bleach it or dye it a lighter color first. If you want Dark natural red or dark color red you can just dye right on top of it. I personally have dark brown Hair with dark red, almost purple highlights. But either way you go, if you want to keep your red in a really long time with great color condition it with Redken color extend injection and depending on which color you want, get red/orange or red/violet. It does wonders.

Nope. I've got dark brown hair and I went Celtic-goddess red without having to bleach. Make sure you go to a reputable stylist, and s/he will be able to do it for you with no problems.

no i think u should make the brown darker n put red streaks know its not what u asked but its better 2 do that.

bleaching your hair is sooo bad for it. so no.

you wouldn't have to anyway, just try a semi permenant dye first, and if it looks good, get it done permenantly.
