I have dyed my hair red and want a change?

I dyed my hair red about 4 weeks ago but dont like it so i am thinking of going blonde can i do this on red hair that i dyed recently without damage? My natural colour is brown.

It's best to go blonde with a professional from red, as going blonde from red often leads to very brassy results, requires more than one home treatment (which can be very damaging)

When I had short hair, and was less worried about damage, I went blonde from red with home treatments, and my hair ended up not too badly damaged. I used a 40X bleach two times (one one day, one the next), dyed it the palest blonde I could find, and then used a toner on top of that. It looked hot, but I haven't been able to achieve the same effect with longer hair partially because of having root growth and the chance of applying these things consistantly is harder given hair length.
