My daughter has long beautiful soft red hair she thinks its horible and gets bullied at school for it is it just me cause i think its beautiful!! PLEASE HELP

You need to point out how special that red hair is. Only 2 % of the world's population is a natural red head. 13% of the population of Scotland is natural red where it is greatly admired. In 100 years, the gene will be extinct and there will be no natural reds. So, explain to that gorgeous daughter of yours that she is among a very few select group of special people. Also, the following kids get bullied: too fat, too thin, wears glasses, has freckles, big ears, braces, "talk" funny, funny laugh, runs funny.... you get the picture. She's definitely not the only one!

I was bullied at school for no other reason than my curly hair, and my mother telling me 'they're just jealous' and that my hair was lovely just didn't help or make me feel any stronger in front of the taunts. Now I agree with my mother, but as a child, all you want is to be like everybody else. In time your daughter will come to love the individuality her hair brings to her character, but for now just try to nurture her self-respect and self-acceptance, and show her that some people aren't worth bothering about and that if they don't like her as she is, they're definitely not worth it. If she asks to dye her hair, the best thing might be to let her, and watch as she returns to her natural colour with relief and a new found love for her own hair. Sometimes all you can do is stand back as they learn.

I think red hair is GORGEOUS and really makes a woman beautiful if she learns to love it.

Red hair is GORGEOUS!!! My sister has red hair and I think she is so lucky. Your daughter will appreciate her hair along with other things as she gets older. Your daughters red hair is a symbol of her uniqueness and she will grow into it. Whoever is making fun of her is obviously jealous and insecure about the fact that they're just a regular joe-shmoe. O and you can eliminate some of the teasing and what not by making sure she is always "FLY"... keep her hair done and make sure she is always well put together

Red hair is the most beautiful hair, it makes a woman so vibrant and brings her inner self alive. I prefer red hair above any other, but it must be natural red, well maintained and clean. Remember jealousy is most of the time the cause of bullying.

Red hair is BEAUTIFUL! I wish I had naturally red hair. My younger sister [who's 9 years old now] gets picked on all the time for having red hair. But you know what? They're just jealous!
