right now i have dirty blonde hair, light skin, but with an olive tone, and green eyes. my dad had red hair, and my mom has brown. would i be able to pull off red hair? ive really wanted to try it out. another option im willing to try is temporary hair color, but i have yet to find a brand that washes out with few hair washes. does anyone have any opinions on whether or not I'd be able to pull it off, and if not- what are some good temporary hair dyes that I can use?
Red hair, right for me?
If your blonde be careful using red dye as it will really grab in blonde hair, I think you would do well with a light strawberry blonde, go to a beauty supply like sally's and ask for a temporary color they can help.

I think dark red would suit you. Loreal colour pulse is a good semi-permanent dye and they do a nice auburn shade.

It's difficult to give you an answer without seeing you, but if you have green eyes you may be able to pull it off. There are two different companies that sell semi-permanent hair color and they wash out in about a month to 6 weeks. Yes, you'll be stuck with the color for a month or two, but that's a lot better than going with a permanent shade. The haircolor is either Natural Instincts or Casting Colorspa.
I have natural red hair, but its starting to get gray at the temple area. To get a fairly decent match I have to go with a color called amber (lightest golden brown), as red coloring on red hair always seems to come out orange. I believe most haircolor is made from those with different shades of brown, so if yor hair is like a dark blonde you should be OK.

splurge once and go to a nice beauty salon and have them do a hair style and color for you......don't try it on yourself ...you don't want to go wrong on doing that yourself first off....she can give you a good opinion.......but go to a good one...not just a drop in place.....good luck.......I tan a dark olive shade and my hair is brown with blonde highlights in it....goes with the blue/green eyes as well as the skin tone. Maybe your "dirty" blonde as you put it just needs a lightening to refresh its color
