Do red hair guys have a tough time in the dating world?

I'm sorry but I don't want to offend any guys out there with red hair but it seems like in today's society red hair men are over looked and more girls are into the "tall, dark and handsome" look. Not all girls are shallow like that but it seems on Yahoo most would go for a guy with dark hair, (brain damage).

I have light brown hair and I've dated a lot of girls but I kind of feel sorry for red hair guys. They probably have it tougher than anyone, espescially if their short. I think some girls like blonde guys but once again it seems like more would like dark hair. And I think thats only because there are more guys out there with dark hair.

Although I think and estimate that 60% of the girls in today's world wouldn't date a guy due to his hair color. Most girls end up maturing and find out what is on the inside.

PS- Yeah once again I don't want to generalize or offend any guy with red hair but it seems like some girls are shallow when it comes to that kind of crap.

I agree! It does seem harder for guys with red hair. I actually think it has something to do with their attitude towards it though. If you embrace the red, then people will love it. If you hate it, how can you expect anyone else to like it?

(oh and before anyone says anything... I am a red-head, so i would know!)

yeah, usually people dont like red heads..

but not always.. its not always true, there is attractive one and not attractive ones, its not exactly about the colour of the hair.. although, it is in particularly a colour fairly most people dont like, but trust me theres someone out there for everyone.

Just look at Josh Hommes of the Queens Of The Stone Age.. He is in a very famous rock band, and his red hair isnt stopping him from doing what he wants.. he is very successful. be like that dont care what people say, and most of all ignore people who say stuff like that and move on to people who are friendly.

I have two brothers with red hair and they seem to do alright for themselves with girls.

If anyone really thought their hair was a problem, dye is cheap and easy to use.

Judging someone based on their looks isn't necessarily shallow. We all have priorities, and every part of a person matters, even their looks. I think its wrong to act like we shouldn't care what someone looks like. I am not saying its the most important thing, and if someone chooses their partners based solely on looks, they might end up with some seriously bad relationships, but if someone completely ignores looks, one day, they might open their eyes and be a bit put off. They might lack sexual chemistry which could be pretty frustrating for everyone.

We all have to have criteria....
