How to remove red hair dye without going to a salon?!?

I dyed my hair red a while back. Now I don't want it. I tried using hydrogen peroxide and conditioner a couple of times, but now its just blonde in some places, and pink in others. (My natural hair color is brown) I want my hair blonde.

you will have to go to a salon dont put anything else on it yourself as you will damage your hair your better off paying that few extra quid hun and getting a proper job done

Dye your hair a meduim brown. then use that (loreal) hair color removal stuff. It should take most of the old dye out with the new. And ps if you want your hair a really light blonde bleach it, dye it purple, then bleach it again.

Try a 30 volume toner.

I believe Loreal blondissimes uses a 30 volume toner.

30 volume has strong lightening action and less colour deposit.

short answer...u need to colour correction - bleaching hair several times to get the red out - then ash toner put on to neutrilise the orange - then prob bleach highlights put thro again to get some more of the red out.

cant be done @ home, home kits dont contain a high enough level of peroxide to bleach the dye out ur hair.

u cant expect the hair colour to b perfect 1st time, will take few months - in the mean time u can use Matrix So Silver shampoo to help stop brasseyness/orange tones. cos its violet in colour it deposits violet tones in the hair (ash tones) and these help neutrilise the orangeness, enchances blonde and grey hair.

also after colour correction - u need to do deep conditioning treatments - reconstructing ones as these help repair the hair, use leave in conditioner - this helps detangle and add moisture to the hair.

avoid using heat - no hairdryers etc and if u do have to use em, use a thermal protection spray.

but please dont try it @ home, u need to see a professional

I had the same but mine was only half colored (on top it was red and underneth it was brown) I'm also a natural Brown.

I have already dyed mine twice one was a light blonde and the other highlights. It's still in my hair and I got it at a salon and it was supposed to wash out within 6 weeks it's been about 4 months and it's still there.

I had mine pink once and I had to dye it black twice to get it out (with a very light pink tint towards my roots) I'm going to buy a dark brown or black then highlight mine.

I don't use strippers for my hair I hear they can make your hair very unhealthy if you use the at home stuff so try dying it black then a few weeks later dye it or bleach it to the shade you want.

Some Pros are great pick a great salon (even if it cost a little extra) if you don't want to do it at home.
