It depends on if you get it done well- if so, then I think both would look fine, though black may be safer.

And don't worry about looking like a "goth" if that's a concern of yours. (I'm assuming it's not, but someone mentioned something about goths.) If black streaks in hair make people "gothic", then there must be a lot of goths running around.

I don't think red hair can be dyed blonde without it looking yellow. My friend has red hair and she put blonde chunks in it but it looks yellow for some reason. maybe go with the black highlights to be safe :)

Subtle blonde highlights would compliment the red. Black could work as well, if that's your style.

maybe try both actually i would recommend lighter brown so it blends better and doesn't look so fake.

well i have naturally strawberry blonde hair(looks similar to my avatar maybe not as orange.) and i have tried to put blonde streaks in it and they didn't show up. but i did put some black in my hair and that worked. blonde will just make your hair look lighter. and well if you do black you gotta make sure it is a good job doing it otherwise you might look weird and yeah. but good luck on what you choose!!

if your hair is naturally red it dosent tend to take alot of dyes i think black would take and with blonde you would just have to be careful i would say make sure you go to a professional and just in case the blonde dose turn yellow they can use a tonder on it i like the idea of blonde rather than black my friend has naturally red hair and did blonde and it looked amazing.if u or anyone else needs anymore information or questions feel free to e-mail me
