i dont get my hair colored in a salon beacause i cant afford it right now so lately i've been using drug store brands like Loreal Or Clairol but everytime i buy a red dye its never to my satisfaction its always to dark and i want a bright red color but i can never seem to find the right color and i need help...what do you guys recommend?

It depends on what colour your hair is naturally. If it is of a dark colour then you will never get the bright red you are searching for unless you bleach the hair first. Go to chemist and ask them for a bleaching kit and bleach the sections (or all) of the hair you want bright red. After you have done this put the red on top . The bleached sections will come out really red and the sections not bleached will come out a dark red.

Tip: the whiter you bleach your hair (ie the longer you leave the mixture in your hair) the brighter the red will be, but dont leave it in too long or you will ruin your hair (follow the directions on both packs)

If you have dark hair first you have to go blonde to get the bright red you are looking for. My hair stylist uses Chi Ionic Hair colors, and you can get it online or beauty supply stores.

i don't really know what to tell you. not many people want their hair a bright red. they might not make one bright enough for your taste. i guess you could ask a hair salon where they buy their dyes and buy some from wherever that is. hope this helps!

you need to get your hair really light [bleached, blonde], then color the red over it, otherwise it will just keep getting darker.
