I use Color Pulse. It works well, I have blonde hair and it looked good. My friend uses it all the time and she has brown hair. You can find it at Walmart! It is easy to use and looks great!

There is no such thing as hair that is naturally red. Red hair is really kind of an orangish blonde or orangish brunette. So keep that in mind.

Try going to a hair salon incase you aren't really experienced with dying your hair. Bring a picture of the kind of red hair you want. They will definitely know what to do.

TELL YOU WHAT YOU do to be safe. I go to the local beauty college, I get color for 10 bucks. BUT what you want may be a little more but its worth it to get it done while the instructor is watching. And you can request 4 the instructor to do it. SOME TIMES you can get it done 4 free but you half to get on a list. Try using a herbal product or try henna (go to a health food store to find it). If you go for chemical colouring your hair will look really dry after a while, plus of course your roots will come through in a dark line. Henna will give a reddish glow to your hair, will make it shine and is actually good for it too. Warning- if you use henna you can't use chemical colours 6 months after application.

Don't get brown highlights- on red hair that result is unattractive. I'd say get a combination of highlights and lowlights to enhance color without changing it too drastically. The shades should be somewhat close to your natural shade. Or, just dye it all! Try the temporary dyes first in case you end up not liking the color. Redheads look good with light brown or golden blonde.

Make - up stay with neutral colors and maybe rose for the cheeks. Go to a makeup counter to find your colors - don't buy from them, just try on the colors to see what best suits you. Stay with dark brown or rusty colors for the eyes - don't get too gray as it will look ashey on your skin tone. You may want to try some bronze colors to bring out the red in your hair. Clothing would be greens, and blues - usually, the cool colors work very well with auburn hair as they will not clash but compliment.

I recommend red, orange and green colors for every day, and brown, orange and black colors for more elegant occasions. I have a friend with red hair and pale skin, and these colors really look good on her.....

And don`t exaggerate with make up... a bit of mascara and powder is enough... and maybe a nail enamel that suits your clothes

Oh my gosh. I absolutely LOVE guys with red hair. Honestly, don't get rid of it. Please do not dye your hair; the world has enough asshole brunettes and bleach-blondes. Redheads are gorgeous (but only if it's your natural color, really). Maybe do something to style it so that you like the style better, but honestly red hair is so pretty. Don't try to do anything to it. Go to your local haircutters'/barber shop and ask them to trim it or maybe find someone who'd like to suggest a new style for you.

Hello! I have blonde hair (sort of blonde, not much anymore, but used to be when I was younger) and it is wavy. I hate my hair, but I can do so much with it. I can straighten it, curl it, or dye it.

You can do a lot with your hair too. I recommend not to dye it though, because it will make your hair frizzy and after a few weeks, you'll be able to see your roots. I would tell you to cut it a little shorter, not like a buzz cut exactly, but how about this cut?

but a little longer, or that cut, depending on how much you want to change your hair. It'll give your hair much more style, and won't be frizzy and unmanageable.

If you want your hair to be the same length, but more manageable, then try rubing some gel into your red locks... It'll give it a stable placement when you are going around in your daily life.

If you don't want to bother with all the trouble, just cut it short and use an anti-frizz serum to get some nice Greek-style curls. Or cut it really short with a hair cut that you can gel.Coming to school with a partial mowhawk with your hair color would make much more of a statement than black hair in a partial mowhawk. (by partial i mean a full head of hair combed up to look like a tiny mowhawk at the top.).

There are many things you can do with red hair, but if it's curly it gets frizzy, and hard to handle. You can dye it and straighten it and bother with all of that , but you'd have to do a thorough job, since I have never seen a red head highlight or straighten their curly hair ( i have seen straight haired ones do it). It always comes out looking strange when their roots start to grow in.

Just keep it natural. Get your hair cut a little more often if it grows fast and to keep it in-shape. A nice neat haircut that keeps it close to your head should do the trick.

I suggest that you try a temporary hair color first - I like Loreal Color Pulse - it's a mousse and it washes out in 8 to 10 shampoos, so even if you don't like it, it's gone. When you find a color that you love, then purchase a similar shade in a permanent dye.
